Wolves News · MC JV Tennis places 4th in LaPorte Invitational.

Wolves junior varsity tennis played a tough couple of matches against two tough opponents. The team was down four total players, and as a result, had to play against higher level opponents then what they are typically used to.

In the first round, The Wolves dropped 0-5 against Elkhart Central, but not without a fight. Brayden Myres just barely lost his match at #3 singles, going 7-5 in the first set with a tie-break, dropping 5-7 in the second, then dropping a tough final set 5-7 in a tie-break. A great effort and showing from the freshman.

The next and final round, the Wolves barely lost to LaPorte, with a 2-3 on the day. Both Wolves doubles teams picked up a W in the round, Jeff Hazel and Lucas Hanft won an explosive three set match at #1 doubles, while Carlos Segura and Orion Bennett at #2 doubles won a nail-biter in a three set match as well.

JV has a long week of tennis ahead of them, on the road Tuesday through Thursday with ANOTHER tournament on Saturday, this time in Plymouth. Thanks to all the fans and families showing support for our tennis teams, and we look forward to MORE TENNIS!!!
