Michigan City High School
The Michigan City volleyball team went 3-1 on the day at the Warsaw Invitational played at the DOC on Saturday.
The Wolves picked up victories over Goshen (25-10, 25-7), Mishawaka Marian (25-19, 25-21) and Warsaw (25-20, 25-21), while falling to Crown Point (25-22, 26-24).
Offensively, Hannah Noveroske led the way with 33 kills, while Emily Kinney finished with 19 kills. Kylie Filipiak had 16 kills and Reece Shirley recorded 10 kills.
Shirley dished out a team-high 36 assists and Kinney added 33 helpers.
Defensively, Allison Ruhe had 25 digs with Shirley adding 23 digs. Filipiak tallied 22 digs and Kinney had 20 digs. Kasey Halfacre contributed 12 digs.
On the service line, Ruhe had 12 aces with Kinney and Shirley adding six aces each. Claire Westphal contributed two aces on the day.
At the net, Noveroske and Shirley had five blocks with Filipiak and Alexis Turner tallying two blocks each.
The Wolves are now 28-3 overall.
